What is Auriculotherapy?

Auriculotherapy is similar to ear acupuncture but without needles.

It is a therapeutic method based on over 2500 years of Traditional East Asian Medical use and considered by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an effective Microsystem Therapy for for physical and psychiatric disorders.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a celebrated and exceptional traditional practice, that takes some time to learn.

The key is gentle pressure, allowing the underlying fascia to release, helping to eliminate fluid buildup and facilitate lymphatic drainage. You’re only working the superficial skin structure, that’s where the fluid is trapped, and where we can hold on to trapped toxins: emotion, physical and psycho-spiritual.

Keep the gua sha at an angle towards the skin, one that’s almost flat.Illustrated within the booklet are some Acupuncture points to activate and connect with sweeping motions. 

• Gather your intention after meditating with the Tangerine Quartz.
• Touch the Tiger’s Eye Gua Sha tool to each point and using the weight of the tool, glide the edges of the Gua Sha tool over your skin.
• Inhale as you move upwards, exhale as you hold, release and move down.
• Use the smooth edge for the face. Use the comb edge for the arms and legs, moving towards the heart with each pass.

Gua means “to rub” and sha refers to the reddened marks indicating where blood stagnation or heat is trapped in the body. The quality, color, and location of the sha are part of our Chinese pattern diagnosis. Gua sha is done in one direction and in even strokes to create the sha that is raised from repeated scraping. These marks represent superficial broken capillaries, which promote an anti-inflammatory and immune response to improve circulation.

Tiger’s Eye is a Transformer in Taoist Stone Medicine and is used in conjunction with Quartz, (the Harmonizer); both are essential in the beginner Taoist Stone Medicine kit.

Tiger Eye has a strengthening effect on the Spleen (the Earth channel & organ) and in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Spleen is what helps us produce blood, postnatal Qi, as well as digest emotional experiences, dissolve and reconstitute.

It’s shimmery sheen is called chatoyancy which is helps bring the SPIRIT OUT, for animation, to move and draw energy out, for lethargy, depression, dizziness, or low enthusiasm.

As we strengthen Spleen Qi we transform phlegm and fluid stagnation, indicated for: digestive issues, asthma, excessive worry, ashiness in the limbs, fatigue, inflammation, and pain.

Quartz is an Enhancer and Harmonizer according to the Taoist Stone Medicine Materia Medica. This means that quartz has the capacity to potentiate and strengthen other stones, as well as our intentions. This stone is noted for its ability to receive, store, conduct, and amplify energy, and our thoughts. When used with other stones, it amplifies and harmonizes their qualities.

In general, Quartz crystals help move stagnation out of the body.

Because their crystalline structure and growth process create natural terminations, quartz helps us direct our thoughts to plant the seeds of change and awakening in ourselves and others. 

Tangerine Quartz is a slightly warming stone and directs Qi to the channels and organs associated with the lower middle - The sacral chakra, also knowns as the second chakra, which is located two inches below your belly button and is represented by the color orange. This chakra governs your emotions, your creativity, sensitivity, sexuality, intimacy, emotional well-being, and self-expression.
